Grand Rapids Man Pleads Guilty in St. Cloud Break-in, Assault

A Grand Rapids man has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder after breaking into a stranger's house in St. Cloud and beating and choking him.
Corey Becker also pleaded guilty Monday to one count of kidnapping in Stearns County. The 21-year-old says he doesn't remember anything about the June incident because he was drunk.

Northstar Train Vandalized in Big Lake

Big Lake police are investigating after a Metro Transit Northstar train was vandalized last week.

Police say the vandalism happened around 2 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, when the train was parked at a service facility near Highway 10 and County Road 43 in Big Lake.

A witness reportedly saw a suspicious pickup with Texas registration. 

Stearns County Officials Uncover Marijuana Growing Operation

Stearns County investigators say they executed a search warrant and uncovered an active marijuana growing operation in St. Cloud.

The search warrant was executed Tuesday at a home on the 25200 block of 58th Avenue. Investigators say they went to the home because the resident had previously received a citation from a Stearns County deputy.

St. Cloud authorities have charged a man who they say shot from a vehicle at a group of people while he was free on bond.

A Benton County grand jury has indicted two men in the death of a man who had been missing for several months.

Wright County Sheriff: 2 Arrested in Connection to Missing Man

Two people have been arrested in connection to a missing person in Wright County.

Officials say 25-year-old Christopher Rossing has not been seen or heard from since Friday, Aug. 22.

Deputy, Suspect Exchange Gunfire in Benton County

Authorities in Benton County say a man has been arrested after exchanging gunfire with a sheriff's deputy.
Chief Deputy Troy Heck says the incident began around 6 p.m. Thursday when dispatchers received a call from a man who said he was "going to a storage facility and shoot some rounds off with his gun, just for fun."
